Wake up Each Day Feeling Calm
You can wake up each day feeling calm. You will need to do the work and resolve inner conflict, but there is no doubt that you can achieve calmness.
Try this:
- Breathe in to the count of 8, hold your breath for 8 and exhale to your inner count of 16.
- Repeat 3 times.
- Now that you feel more relaxed and comfortable, consider two parts of yourself that are in conflict.
- Give each part a name and connect an image, for example: one side can be a thimble and the other hummingbird.
- Imagine holding the thimble in your left hand and the hummingbird in your right hand.
- Remember the issue represented by the thimble and then the issue represented by the hummingbird.
- Imagine you’ve placed some sugar water in the thimble and continue to imagine the hummingbird drinking from the thimble.
- Can you now imagine that the unconscious mind will resolve your conflict while you drift off to sleep?
