Use Self-Hypnosis for Pain in Your Stomach


Using self-hypnosis for pain in your stomach requires you to learn to relax. Practice the following technique to help relax you and to find relief from pain in any part of your body.



  1. Breathe in to your internal count of 8, hold for 8 and exhale for 16.
  2. Repeat 3 times.
  3. Breathe in a relaxed manner, making sure your body is comfortable.
  4. Close your eyes and feel relaxation coming first to your face, let your face relax by releasing your jaw.
  5. Next, relax your shoulders, just drop them and feel relaxation in your body, down to your legs, then continuing to your feet and finally feeling all tension exiting through your toes.
  6. Focus your attention on the pain in your stomach. Try to relax the area around it, letting your stomach become soft. No tensing.
  7. Visualize the pain as a shape. Maybe it’s round.
  8. What color is the pain? Maybe it’s red.
  9. Ask yourself where a red, round ball might be useful outside of your home.
  10. It could become an ornament in your garden.
  11. Imagine having this round , red ball move down your legs all the way to your toes.
  12. Imagine it exiting through your toes and see it placed as an ornament in your garden.

Practice this technique and you’ll be amazed how effective it is.
