Life Coach, NLP and Hypnotherapy Portland, Oregon: Feeling Depressed Can Mean You’re Ready for a Change

I see many clients who say they feel depressed. They may have tried to ease the feeling with medication prescribed by a doctor and may have spent time talking to a psychologist. I approach this with the idea that feeling depressed can mean you’re ready for a change.

Being ready for a change but not being able to clearly define it or to be able to use your imagination can keep you stuck.

Try this:

  • Breathe in to the count of 6, hold for 6 and exhale fully to the count of 12.
  • Repeat 3 times.
  • Feel the relaxation?
  • Ask yourself if you are accomplishing your goals.
  • Ask yourself if accomplishing your goals would mean you’d feel more personal power, or maybe you aren’t sure how this accomplishment will make you ‘feel’.
  • Being able to define the feeling will help you with the change.
  • Ask yourself if you feel bored. If the answer is yes, then continue looking at ‘bored’ and ask yourself what the opposite would be.
