Change Objections

Life Coach, Portland, Oregon: Change Objections

I use a small kitchen timer to keep me on track with my writing. For example, I’ll set it for 20 minutes and use its ticking sound as a motivator to stay focused.
It works every time for me. I may not have finished my project, but I will have used the time in a completely focused way. This method neutralizes the objections that rise up in my mind from the noise around me.

You can find a reason to object to others’ behavior, habits, noise etc…or you can train yourself to use your strengths and ignore the things that you object to. It’s a relief to be indifferent or neutral to those things..

The only thing we can change is ourselves. We’re always changing anyway, why not participate in changing yourself?
