You will be doing yourself a favor if you ask: ‘what’s good about the past?’

Being able to conjure up the many positive events and accomplishments you’ve experienced during your lifetime can be helpful.

 

Being able to recognize that your life is ‘now’ and ‘in front of you’ can help you heal from a past that isn’t full of positive events and accomplishments.

A mindful practice is helpful to release the past.

Try this:

  1. Breathe in to the count of 8, hold for 8 and exhale for 16.
  2. Repeat 3 times.
  3. Pay attention to your breathing, in a gentle way for 5 minutes.
  4. Feel the breath going in and out and let any thought pass on by.
  5. By practicing the above, you’ll learn to be more present.

Repetition is the mother of success.
