When you work with me for Self-Improvement at the 6th step of the recipe I’ll suggest you ‘check-in with your desire’.
You’ll recall that desire is created by accessing that part of you that is storing an extremely positive experience.
Check-in with your desire by recalling and reviewing the work you did in the first post.
Try this:
- Breathe in to the count of 6, hold your breath for 6 and exhale to your internal count of 18.
- Repeat this 3 times.
- Now that you’re relaxed, recall that special time when you felt intense desire.
- Having recalled this time when you felt ‘desire’, like wanting to learn something new, or go someplace you’ve never been before…
- Notice that it’s easier to access this great trigger with practice.
- I hope you’ve used a journal to describe, in minute detail how desire felt or feels.
- Write about your self-improvement daily.
- Include specific details, always keeping in mind that the more specific you are about the quality of your desire and self-improvement, the better you’ll be at self-improvement.
- Reviewing this, journaling about it will keep you on task.
