Self-Help for Phobias

Self-Help for Phobias

You can do a lot on your own to relieve your personal phobia. Although I think it’s most helpful to have help with the NLP Phobia model, there are things you can do for yourself:

  • Learn and make a practice of relaxation skills such as breathing.
  • Put together the practice of breathing and the thought or memory of the fear, and feel the control you have.
  • Be aware of your own limits. Stress can put you in a state of mind in which you might create fear or even a phobia.
  • Stress can also put you back into the framework where the phobia first started.
  • Be patient with yourself and systematically use breathing, relaxation and visualization to reduce the phobia’s effect on you.

  1. Three weeks ago I started my own unique journey into eliminating pain. Your blog not only exhibits that a person who is commited to getting rid of pain can do it, but they can also do it this way. I also practice Chronic Pain Management In Fort Lauderdale I appreciate all the hard work put into this blog and I will check back often.

  2. Good advice. Of course, most people need help developing relaxation skills and the ability to visualize. That’s the part of hypnotherapy that most people are not aware of.

  3. I absolutely love your blog and find the majority of your post’s to be just what I’m looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content for you? I wouldn’t mind writing a post or elaborating on some of the subjects you write about here. Again, awesome site!
