Daydreaming: A Five Part Series
Part 3: Find a Place
- Find a quiet place where you’ll be undisturbed. It’s helpful to use the place you choose on a regular basis.
- Sit in a comfortable position.
- Do your breathing exercise.
- Choose a place, a point to look at where you can focus your attention.
- Once you’re relaxed, de-focus and let your mind wander.
- Be careful not to think of your undone tasks.
- If you do start to ‘think’ rather than daydream, gently pull yourself back to the present.
- Stay in the moment and enjoy the fleeting thoughts.
- If you have obligations, set a timer so that you don’t watch the clock.
- Bring yourself back from this pleasant state and record your thoughts by writing them down or actually using a recorder.
