How to Find Relief from Social Anxiety

A helpful way to deal with and find relief from social anxiety is to learn the techniques that are taught to people with OCD.This doesn’t mean you have OCD, just that the brain responds in specific ways to techniques
that have proven to be helpful.

 

You must learn to be a fly on the wall, watching yourself have the feelings of anxiety and naming them: ‘that’s my fear of people’.
You notice the feelings of fear, anxiety or depression  from the distance of not being in it and you can learn to cope with the feelings, letting them go their own way while you strengthen your ability to enjoy new people. One emotion along side the other.

It takes practice, but it’s helpful.
