Attention!

I recently dusted off my old copy of Aldous Huxley’s iconic book ‘Island’.

It’s been reprinted recently but you can find it used on Amazon for $5.

The power of suggestion jumps out at you in the first chapter. The suggestion

to visualize a positive environment (and in this case the use of hypnotic language)

to avoid pain is clever.

I enjoy paying attention to the hypnotic language used in everything I read(metaphor)

and may I suggest you do the same. Marketing people know all about this. I’m just saying.

It enhances our reading to be aware of its use. I’m also saying it improves our own

ability to visualize when we notice it in everything we read.
