Life Coach Portland, Oregon: Do Something Every Day Toward Your Goals

Doing something every day toward your goals comes from the same thinking as taking small steps toward your goals.

 

When clients come to me feeling stuck, I try to help them  with the following
suggestions:

  1. Breathe in to the count of 6, hold for 6 and exhale to the count of 12.
  2. Repeat this 3 times.
  3. Once you’ve become clear about your goals and have them in writing, you can begin to see progress.
  4. Review your goals and think about them every single day.
  5. Assuming you begin your review in the morning, start by taking specific action on what is most important now.
  6. Action on the most difficult thing for today is a small step toward achieving your goals.
  7. Remember to keep your thoughts and mind-speak in the present tense with a positive perspective: “ I’m making contact with the people I’ve chosen” not ‘I have to make contact etc.”
  8. Eliminating the ‘have to’ gives you energy and alerts the unconscious mind that you’re focused.
